CARNE ASADA
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ pounds strip steak
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 jalapeño, minced (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Marinade: - In a medium bowl, combine lime juice, orange juice, olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, chopped cilantro, and minced jalapeño (if using). Mix well to combine.

- Marinate the Steak: - Place the strip steak in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably 2-4 hours, or overnight for maximum flavor.

- Preheat the Grill or Stovetop: - If using a grill, preheat to medium-high heat. If cooking on the stovetop, heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.

- Cook the Steak: - Remove the steak from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off.
- For Grill: Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of the steak and your preferred doneness.
- For Stovetop: Add a little oil to the heated skillet or grill pan. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of the steak and your preferred doneness.

- Rest and Serve: - Once cooked, remove the steak from the grill or skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, ensuring a juicy and flavorful steak.

- Slice and Enjoy: - Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips. Serve with your favorite sides such as grilled vegetables, tortillas, rice, or a fresh salad.

Tips:
- For extra flavor, you can add a splash of soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce to the marinade.
- If you don't have a grill or a large skillet, you can also broil the steak in the oven
