CAPRESE
Caprese Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe tomatoes 
- 1 lb fresh mozzarella cheese 
- 1 bunch fresh basil leaves 
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 
- 2 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional) 
- Sea salt to taste 
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste 
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ingredients: - Wash and slice the tomatoes into 1/4-inch thick slices. 
- Slice the mozzarella cheese into 1/4-inch thick rounds. 
- Rinse and pat dry the basil leaves. 
 
- Assemble the Salad: - On a large serving platter, alternate slices of tomato and mozzarella, overlapping them slightly. 
- Tuck a basil leaf between each slice of tomato and mozzarella. 
 
- Dress the Salad: - Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil evenly over the salad. 
- If using, drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top for a touch of sweetness and tang. 
 
- Season: - Sprinkle sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
